بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
الحمد لله وحده
و الصلاة و السلام على من لا نبي بعده
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahmeen
All Praise is due to Allah Alone
And may the blessings and peace be upon him whom there is no messenger after.

All praise is for Allah who has guided us to Islam, a praise that is countless, good and blessed. All praise is for Allah, the One who sent down the Qur’an to His slave and has placed not therein any crookedness. All praise is for Allah, the One who owns whatever is in the heavens and the earth and for Him is the praise in the beginning and end.
اللهم انفعنا بما علمتنا و علمنا ما ينفعنا و زدنا علما
O Allah, benefit us from that which You taught us and teach us that which will benefit us and increase us in knowledge. Ameen

A lesson from the righteous scholars of the past is that when they would begin something, they would start with the famous hadeeth:

Umar bin al-Khattaab relates that: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah, sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam, saying, “Verily actions are by intentions, and for every person is what he intended. So the one whose hijrah was to Allah and His Messenger, then his hijrah was to Allah and His Messenger. And the one whose hijrah was for the world to gain from it, or a woman to marry her, then his hijrah was to what he made hijrah for.”Related by Bukhaari and Muslim.

Why would they begin with this hadeeth? Firstly to remind themselves to purify their intentions, and secondly to also remind the reader or listener to purify their intentions as well.  may Allah ta’ala purify our intentions for His sake, and make us among those who are sincere, Ameen.
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala tells us in the Qur’an, fastabiqoo al khayraat, so race to good deeds! (2:148) Allah ta’ala did not tell us to walk, or do good, but He ta’ala said: RACE. As believers, we should do good whenever we can and wherever we can find it inshaAllah.

Why the name “Tayyibaat”? The Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam told us,

الكلمة الطيبة صدقة

Even a good word is a charity (Bukhari). I pray that Allah ta’ala blesses us with good speech. Ameen.

The word “tayyibaat” is plural of “tayyibah”, which simply means all that is good. This word is very comprehensive and inshaAllah a future post will be based solely on its meaning. This title is a reminder for myself, to keep only what is beneficial and good on this blog inshaAllah.

May Allah ta’ala grant us success and grant us barakah in our time and actions, Ameen.
